CUI in Classified Documents
CUI in Classified Documents
All CUI documents residing on classified systems will contain portion markings, the overall banner line, and the CUI designation indicator block.
Mark documents containing classified information in accordance with Volume 2 of DoDM 5200.01. A correctly marked classified document containing CUI will contain complete portion markings, the overall classification, a classification authority block, and a CUI designation indicator block.
CUI markings in classified documents will appear in portions known to contain only CUI and will be marked as “(CUI).”
The banner line will be marked with the document's highest classification level. Do not include "CUI" in the banner line of classified documents.
Interior pages and slides can be marked with either the classification level of the document or the classification level of each page or slide.
Markings are for training use only.
